Expressions of interest are wanted for small group math training in the format of a circuit class. At this stage, the circuit is proposed for children aged 8–12, at a community room in Manly-Warringah, after school hours in Term 2, 2025.
This is hands-on practical maths training, with a series of stations of short numeric tasks with physical settings and tools. Exercises are matched to your child’s age/level within each station’s scenario. Being a circuit class, time spent at each station is limited, and when the whistle blows, each participant moves on to the next station for another short task. Maths Xpress is a fun, active and realistic method of applying the numeracy they learn at school to a tangible activity. This helps to integrate the principles in a more immersive way, which helps participants retain it in their memory. Don’t worry, we will find a way to include the less tangible number-crunching processes that come with school programs. ;-) As there are operating costs that must be covered (such as venue hire), Maths Xpress can only run if there are enough bookings in advance. Thanks and I can’t wait to launch Maths Xpress! |
